Frequently asked questions.

Common questions about ParkSetup smart parking guidance systems.

memorySystem & Technology
How does the ParkSetup system work?
Ultrasonic sensors mounted above each parking bay detect vehicle presence in real time. The data is transmitted via zone control units (ZCU) to the web-based management software, which processes the information and determines what the LED indicators and guidance panels display. Drivers are guided directly to available spaces.
Which types of car parks is it suitable for?
The ParkSetup system is applicable to a wide range of car park types, including covered and open-air car parks, shopping centres, municipal car parks, hospitals, universities and corporate facilities. It is scalable from small single-level sites to large multi-storey complexes.
Can the system be installed in an existing car park?
Yes. The ParkSetup system is designed to integrate with existing car park infrastructure as well as new builds. A site survey is conducted at the start of each project to assess current conditions and prepare a suitable installation plan.
buildInstallation & Project Process
How does the installation process work?
Each project is carried out in five stages: site survey and measurement, technical drawings and system design, hardware production, on-site installation, and finally software setup and commissioning. Every stage is managed by the ParkSetup team.
What information is needed to receive a project quote?
To prepare a quote we need the car park capacity (number of spaces), number of floors, car park type (covered, open-air, underground, etc.) and, if available, a floor plan. With these details you can reach our team via the contact form or directly by phone or email.
devicesProducts, Maintenance & Software
What do LED indicators and guidance panels provide?
LED indicators above each bay show a green (free) or red (occupied) signal, directing drivers straight to available spaces. Guidance panels at floor or aisle level display the total number of free spaces and directional arrows, eliminating unnecessary circulation within the car park.
What does the web-based software offer?
The web-based management software provides a real-time occupancy map of the car park, floor and zone level statistics, date-range reports and live alerts — all accessible through any browser without additional software installation. Any device with an internet connection can access the platform.
How does maintenance and servicing work?
The hardware components used in the system are manufactured to industrial standards. The web-based software automatically detects sensor or component faults and raises the relevant alert. In the event of a fault, the ParkSetup service team responds and spare parts are sourced domestically.
